    IRender nXt - Version 3.0

     The new Beta today is the first peek at Version 3..

     (Actually if you have been downloading new versions and Betas you have already seen almost everything that's new in 3.0).

    We hope to release it Monday as we announce our next rendering contest. This years rendering contest will require that your rendering use many of the new 3.0 Features.

    Here is a summary of the new features (implemented since 2.0 was released)

    Highlights

    New Plant and Material libraries

    New Plant and Material libraries
    Over 6,000 materials and 40 RpTreeMaker plants.

    Arroway Textures

    Arroway Textures
    Arroway Textures is a manufacturer of high-res textures, which are used in many areas of digital visualization, e.g. architecture, design and art.

    Arroway has made about 100 low-res versions of their textures available to IRender nXt users.

    New Material Wizard

    Material Wizard
    The IRender Material Wizard makes it easy to create and edit materials.

    Most common rendering settings for materials can be made quickly in the Material Wizard.

    Panoramic Views

    Panoramic Views
    A Panoramic image is created by rotation the camera while rendering to create a full 360 x 360 degree image.

    Clients can view the flash movie made from the Panoramic image.

    Depth of Field

    Depth of Field
    Depth of Field and Focal Distance settings create renderings with areas in sharp focus and areas out of focus.

    Other New Features

    • Customize Toolbar to use just the Icons you want.
    • New, optional, rendering settings dialog to review settings just before rendering.
    • Added Gather Indirect Lighting method
    • Added Monte Carlo and Gather reflection to individual objects
    • Added setting for Automatic Sky Saturation (used or Daylight portals)
    • Cut the time required to extract a model by 50%
    • Added Automatic Daylight Portals for transparent surfaces (with Interior/W sun preset)
    • Materials and other settings can be set directly during the rendering process, and then restored to the SketchUp model.
    • Foreground Images and Watermarks
    • Clay Rendering - automatically create an all white rendering.
    • Sky Saturation - ability to set the amount of color in Automatic Skies.
    • Added support for 2-point Perspective
    • Added Self Glow to the Material Wizard
    • Added displacement maps for advanced bump effects.
    • Added Draft Render Quality which renders about 4 times faster with some loss of image quality.
    • Added Glossy Reflection
    • Added Fresnel Reflection
    • Added new plant types and ground cover to RpTreeMaker

    Trial Version

    Version 3.0 has a new 30-day trial version.

     Version 3.0 has been released, use the Download tab above, or Downloads to download the new version.

    See:  Version 3.0 for more information, and to check out the more than 20 new features implemented sine the release of Version 2.0 a year ago.
